NEWS UPDATE AT 12PM WITH ORANGE The Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi has distanced himself from claims by a group of youth in Sembabule district that he had called for a youth meeting saying that the NRM Constitution is very clear about roles, responsibilities and methodologies of holding a rally, principles he doesn’t intend to deviate from. This is the first time Mbabazi is distancing himself from activities of youth groups who purport to be backing him for President. Mbabazi maintains he will not stand against President Museveni in the upcoming elections but quickly adds harboring presidential ambitions is not a crime. Police in Mubenda has arrested one of their own for failure to maintain law and order in Kilwana village, Mubende District where residents are fighting with a wealthy businessman over ownership of 20 square miles of land .Erick Nahebwa, who was attached to Kikandwa Police Station, has been charged with neglect of duty. Equator region spokesperson, Phillip Mukasa, says Nahebwa was assigned to mediate talks between residents and Ssebunya but never fulfilled his obligations.
