NEWS UPDATE NSSF PROBE The Parliamentary Select committee constituted to investigate the NSSF controversy has met with whistle-blowers from the Fund, which the committee members believe will ease the investigation. According to Alex Ruhunda, MP for Fort Portal and a member of the probe team, the closed door session was meant to protect the identity of the whistle-blowers and bring out as much information. The 5-member committee was set up by the speaker of Parliament in July to investigate the allegations of nepotism and unfair recruitment at NSSF, illegal purchase of Umeme shares, irregular disposal of the NSSF assets and any other matter related to the mismanagement
