NEWS | Vicelich relishing Japan test Auckland City FC skipper Ivan Vicelich is looking forward to taking on Japan’s best after the Samurai Blue named a strong squad for its upcoming charity match with the Navy Blues at Cessnock Sports Ground on Sunday 4 January. AC Milan striker Keisuke Honda and former Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa have both been selected, as well as a host of top names including defender Yuto Nagatomo, Gamba Osaka midfield ace Yasuhito Endo and skipper Makoto Hasebe who plays for Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. Vicelich, who spent more than eight years in the Netherlands with Roda JC and RKC Waalwijk, is expecting a tough challenge against Japan, which is preparing for its opening AFC Asian Cup clash with Palestine in eight days time.
