▶[NEWS] Viggo Mortensen Honored With A Career Tribute At The Marrakech International Film Festival Sunday Evening Marrakech Festival, Dec. 7, 2014. After presenting his latest film Far from Men, which was shot in Morocco last year and premiered at Venice, to a 7,000 people audience in the open air Place Jemaa El Fna, an emotional #ViggoMortensen accepted the honor from actress and juror Mélanie Laurent. She praised the actor for his acting, musical and artistic talent. Very touched by the warm welcome, Mortensen thanked the crowd in English, Arabic and French, and held up a flag of his favorite San Lorenzo football team, before being joined on stage by his Far From Men co-star Reda Kateb and director David Oelhoffen. “I am proud of what we have achieved, with this team, in this Morrocan, Algerian and French Family,” the actor said in French (“Je suis fier de ce que nous avons réalisé, en famille, avec notre équipe marocaine, algérienne et française”).
