[NEWS] WILL VIEWERS CHOOSE THE SAME TEAM FROM ‘WIN’ AS YG? [OSEN=이혜린 기자] YG Entertainment’s new survival program ‘WIN’ had its first battle, and the first winner among the judges was Team B. All eyes are on the upcoming result of the viewers’ vote to see whether their choice is the same as the YG’s judges. The judges’ scores are not counted toward the result. It will be completely dependent on the viewers’ decision. The voting starts immediately after the show ends and will last for 3 days. Many are excitedly waiting for the final result of the first battle. The two Teams A (Kang Seung Yoon, Lee Seung Hoon, Song Min Ho, Kim Jin Woo, Nam Tae Hyun) and B (B.I., Bobby, Kim Jin Hwan, Kim Dong Hyuk, Koo Jun Hoe, Song Yoon Hyung) unveiled their performances for the first battle on episode 6, aired on Sept 27. Their names became the most-searched word on different portal sites, and attracted many to vote. Fans were excited to see BIGBANG and 2NE1 on the show, who were present as the judges. 7 members from both BIGBANG and 2NE1, leaving out TAEYANG and DRAGON who were the mentors of Teams A and B, participated in the judging by choosing one of the two balls that had A and B written on each of them. T.O.P and SEUNGRI chose Team A, while the rest, DAESUNG, CL, BOM, MINZY and DARA all went for Team B. The judges recalled the times when they were trainees, remembering how tough those times were, but did not hold back on telling them the harsh reality of the entertainment world and delivering critical analysis of each performance. image Teams A and B each performed 2 parts, which were divided into singing and dancing. Team A had TAEYANG’s ‘Only Look At Me’ and ‘Wedding Dress’ prepared while Team B had G-DRAGON’s ‘One of a Kind’ and ‘That XX’, along with the remixed version of ‘Crayon.’ Team A struggled to be confident on stage, which was repeatedly pointed out by others, while Team B tried to make every member stand out. After the performance of Team B’s ‘One of a Kind’, the judges cheered and applauded. CL said, “I screamed out of happiness,” while DAESUNG said, “You are born to be artists. The performance was the best.” DAESUNG compared Team A to food, saying, “It was like seeing an opening event of a new restaurant. It was clean and all, but the food wasn’t so tasty,” and added, “It was like Jjampong (spicy soup dish) with white soup. It’s not as good as the original, but there is a potential for creating new and fresh taste.” T.O.P commented, “Team A had no impact. But Team B had too much of it, leaving nothing memorable.” Song Min Ho, the leader of Team A, said, “There’s still a long way to go for me. I will work a hundred times harder than now and will win the battle.” Team B’s leader B.I. commented, “I don’t mind losing if we were really enjoying being on stage. Even if we lost, we would still feel like we won.” Yang Hyun Suk, the founder of YG Entertainment, chose Team A’s fear for Team B as the biggest weakness.
