NEWSFLASH: New Building Development Wed thought it was time to give you a wee progress update on the High Street Cheers development. After a fair bit of consultation weve decided to create a coffee house (maybe something like Central Perk from Friends?) and function suite/late night venue (with dance area and capacity of around 200) with a patio area to the rear. Up stairs there will be an additional 5 ensuite bedrooms and the whole front of the building will be totally revamped. The work will be undertaken in two stages and will hopefully begin around Feb/March 2015. There will be an extension to the rear of the building and access from High Street going into our award winning beer garden at Cheers. The patio area will be used as a childrens play area in the mornings/afternoon. At weekend evenings this will be a smoking area for the function suite. We are still fine tweaking the plans and getting the relevant permissions. Tourist type information will be made available plus FREE WiFi and access to computers. This service is provided to access information about Fraserburgh with links to all nearby activities and locations of interest. Our aim is to promote all things good about Fraserburgh and attract people to the town centre. Heres a look at what the building looks like at present! PS Look out for new renovations to the dance floor and our beer garden in the next few weeks. In the new year we will be redeveloping our food menu and cocktail menu plus updating our spirits listing to include a further 100 different spirits to bring the total to 650+. Our senior bar staff will be attending specialist training courses in Glasgow to allow them to discuss our cocktail menu and spirits listing in detail. This will be followed by specialist wine training again in Glasgow as we improve our wine offering. We will keep you up to date on our progress over the coming months. As always, thank you all for your support! Its very much appreciated and is the main reason we feel confident in continually investing in Fraserburgh. CHEERS!!
