NEWSLETTER 4. NEWSLETTER 4 Dear Parent / Guardian, The 2013 / 2014 academic session ends today Friday 25 / 07 / 2014. The next academic session starts on Monday 15 / 09 / 2014. To the glory of God, the session has been hitch-free, without any major unsavoury incident. You can access your child’s / ward’s third term and annual results on the internet as from Friday 01 / 08 / 2014. His / her answer scripts in all the subjects have been issued to him / her. Please study them carefully. We welcome your observations and comments, as these will help us to improve on our service delivery. We look forward to yet another impressive performance in our students’ performance in the 2014 WASSCE and NECO examinations. We are happy that the initial problems few parents encountered with the second term’s e-result of their children / wards have been adequately addressed. We thank you for your understanding and patience while the rectification procedure lasted. Dear Parent/Guardian, we very much thank you for identifying with us. Indeed entrusting the upbringing of your child / ward to us continues to motivate us to greater commitment to give your child / ward the best in us. Our accent is on academics as in morals, spirituality, socialization and sports. The French language has recently been introduced into our curriculum in order to give your child / ward a more balanced education. In sports, we are steadily blossoming into governmental limelight. We are delighted being one of the few schools privileged to be invited by the sports ministry of Anambra State for the Governor’s ‘catch them young’ campaign. May we note that many parents do not provide their child / ward with textbooks. This is most unfortunate. Lack of textbooks obliviously poses a formidable drawback on our shared aspirations for your child / ward. As well all know, working tools are necessary and vital inputs for qualitative output. Likewise, the provision of textbooks is imperative for your child’s / ward’s academic progress. We hope such parents respond positively this coming session. A list of recommended textbooks is hereby forwarded to you. Please bear with us being constrained to enforce compliance to the provision of textbooks at the onset of the coming session. We suggest you make the procurement in good time before the prices of books escalate. Customized exercise books will be provided by the school. Dear Parent / Guardian, in order to sustain gained grounds, we strongly advice that you monitor your child’s / ward’s movements and the people he / she associates with during this holiday period. This is to forestall any harm coming his/ her way and to avoid negative peer – group influences. Also be mindful of his/her possible abuse of the information technology. We advice that he / she reads novels and avails himself / herself holiday lessons which the school will be providing from August 4 to September 4, 2014. Once again thank you very much.
