Question Shall County of Newton, State of Missouri, establish, improve, or maintain a sheltered workshop or residence facility or related services for developmentally disabled and handicapped persons, and for which the county shall levy tax of six (6) cents per each one hundred (100) dollars assessed valuation therefor? [ ] Yes [ ] No Proposition A Shall the City of Joplin, Missouri, impose a local use tax at the same rate as the total local sales tax rate, currently two and five-eighths percent (2 5/8%), provided that if the local sales tax rate is reduced or raised by voter approval, the local use tax rate shall also be reduced or raised by the same action? A use tax return shall not be required to be filed by persons whose purchases from out-of-state vendors do not in total exceed two-thousand dollars ($2,000.00) in any calendar year.
