NEXT MONDAY. Franklin Avenue Bridge (County Road 5) open house Sept. 9. The public is invited to an open house from 5:30-7:30pm. on Mon., Sept. 9 to discuss the preservation and reconditioning of the Franklin Avenue Bridge in Minneapolis and provide feedback on the project. County staff will give a brief presentation at 6 p.m. The open house will take place at St. Francis Church, 1500 Franklin Ave. SE. Residents and business owners will have an opportunity to speak with staff from Hennepin County and the consultants working on this project. The planning for the project will take into consideration the unique and historical significance of the bridge along with impacts to all modes of traffic, including motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
