NGC 536 - barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Andromeda NGC 536 was discovered on 13 September 1784 by the English astronomer William Herschel . This is the 12th volume of barred spiral galaxy type SB (r ) b in the constellation Andromeda . NGC 536 Angular dimensions are 3.3 by 1.2 arcmin . The galaxy is a member of the group designated as Hickson Compact Group 10 consisting of NGC 536, NGC 529 , NGC 531 and NGC 542 in the catalog Dreyer has been described as an object rather bright , fairly large , shining gradually towards the center , the next two .
