NIGER DELTA YOUTHS FOR CREDIBLE LEADERSHIP (NIGERCREL) Press Release Our attention has been drawn to an ill-fated public commentary credited to Alhaji Nasir El Rufai who happens to be a former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a strong card carrying member of the All Progressives Congress against the Niger Delta Ex-militants. Nasir El Rufai stated that a serving Presidential Adviser mobilized ex-militants to serve as thugs in the ongoing Gubernatorial elections in Osun state. Furthermore,he stated that the said Presidential Adviser is an ex-militant currently serving the Federal Government. In line with his comments,the Leadership and membership of the aforementioned group hereby clarifies the general public and states below as follows 1. That there is no ex-militant serving in the Transformation government of President Goodluck Jonathan 2. That there are no ex-militants serving as thugs in Osun State elections,rather Nasir El-Rufai should be invited for questioning to know where such lies emanated from which might amount to defamation of character. 3. That Nasir El-Rufai is a promoter of National disunity who is in a quest to score cheap points and gain public sympathy,just as Gen. Buhari orchestrated his own attack to gain public sympathy. 4. That all security agencies especially the Directorate of State Security(DSS) should closely monitor Nasir El-Rufai for he is a desperate politician with no respect for those in authority. 5. That as a matter of emergency and urgency, Nasir El-Rufai be arrested and interrogated for promoting National Dis-unity and wrongly inciting the general public thereby promoting inter-ethnic hatred and rivalry. Above all,he should be made to prove his claims with facts. 6. That Nasir El-Rufai is a corrupt puppet who syphoned public monies and personalised government properties worth billions of naira while he served as a minister. By so doing,he still has pending charges and allegations levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. Lastly,Niger Delta Youths For Credible Leadership warns Nasir El-Rufai to stay away from Niger Delta until he apologises to the freedom fighters of Niger Delta whom he referred to as Militants.
