NIGERIA @53 As we celebrate the 53rd independence today, it is pertinent to stress that THE VOTES OF NIGERIANS MUST COUNT IN EVERY ELECTION. There should be satellite radar covering every election centre in Nigeria to dutifully capture every action before, during and after elections. This will provide first hand information on any observed or perceived anomaly in the electioneering process. Proper and concise censors must be carried out before the general election. This will enable Nigerians determine the approximate number of the eligible voters in any given environment per time. Inflated election results will be curtailed with this. Most importantly, a simple majority of 60% of the total number of the eligible voters in Nigeria must have been seen to have genuinely voted for the would be President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at any given election to avoid sectional or regional presidency. This will compel any one desirous of winning the Presidential election in Nigeria to campaign with realistic and realisable substance of his/her agenda for every State or region in Nigeria.
