But day-by-day the battle’s won In closing of ranks and destinies The dream foretold fulfilled A model for us to create The beauty of the land we know Chanted in genres, sung in folklores A heritage kept for aye by telling The acts heroes past and present To sensitize and prepare The deed already done is The cake to share we clamour From the table on the rock By the “Turks” by fireside A dichotomy and many an enigma Of North, South, East and West Of blessings disguised to tap In unity etched on diversity Our resilience an envy of all This echoes our dreams come true The world at large to take Of the landing of the eagle retold On the centre stage of the world On “the trigger point Africana” But alas my beautiful nation today In myriads problems enmeshed Calling for concerns of even midgets Who forgot her enigmatic prowess And resilience solid as Gibraltar Our hope of glory upon this anchored As we angle for the world’s centre-stage Abuja enters annals of world’s super cities NIGERIA nears the finishing line of a forlorn race Earth’s hegemony Africana unveiled at last to reign!
