NIGERIAN FOOTBALL CRISIS-16 WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE-2 I was compelled by necessity to clarify certain issues as regard to the Decisions of the Members of the Nigerian football congress over the purported Dismissal of their Leader Aminu Maigari.In a moment of Crisis we should stop taking a Holiday from thinking.If we go back and read the Resolutions of The NFF Congress Members as presented by SEYI AKINWUNMI,The Chairman of Lagos FA.The members did not say they had a CONGRESS or as Some disgruntled people made the SSS to believe that there was going to be an illegal gathering to cause Breach of the peace,i do not know what is the Business of the DSS in surrounding the SEROB HOTEL.NOW CHECK THESE: 1.There was a decision of the Executive Committee that requires the General Assembly to Endorse. 2. The General Assembly could not hold due to the fact that there are conditions precedent to the convocation of the GA. 3. There is a Major Event which is the Elective Congress whose date was long predetermined. 4.If the decision of the Executive Committee is not ratified it will be prejudicial to the Statutes and also there will be an infringement on the fundamental rights of people affected by the decision of the Executive Committee. 5. So there is a Force Majuer or an Emergency whichever of the two is taken the statutes has provided for how it could be handle. 6. The Members of the Congress can invoke any of the provisions of the Status to deal with the FORCE MAJUER or THE EMERGENCY. 7. In dealing with the situation they need only 50+1 of their members for their decision to be effective because they are the Supreme Body of the NFF. 8. 50+1 is just 22+1 that is 23 members according to the statutes,it does not matter where they seat,they may decide to seat anywhere,location is inconsequential,what matters is weather 22+1 agreed to any resolution by the same members?after all A judge can deliver judgment or entertain a court proceeding under a tree provided he has jurisdiction,like JUSTICE NIKI TOBI DID SOME TIME AGO. 9. 26 Members signed and endorsed that AMINU MAIGARI remained their leader,which means they were in excess of 3 Members. 10. And they said the Executive Committee acted in error in Dismissing their President,Aminu Maigari. TO BE CONTINUED.
