NIGERIANS WAKE UP! _____________________________________________ Conscious people of Nigeria if we can vote this government out our prestige and respect as a people would be restored. Therefore, Government will no longer increase fuel price at will. Government will for the first time in our history feel the power of the people. Government will continue to dance to our tune. We need to prove to the world and to our leaders that truly we are in charge politically. Bad leaders will not to grow in a society where the people are conscious, where the people have the electoral strength to remove poor government democratically. When the people identify development in all ramifications. When people are not stiff to change. More so, when people can learn from the past and juxtapose different governments in spite of its nature. This is how we historians think. We try to compare and contrast and to draw conclusion, of course, from its premise. Along the line, we evaluate without leaving behind social milieu surrounding different governments. And more fundamentally, we ask critical questions as to how, when and why before reaching a logical conclusion. This is why we are capable of projecting into the future based on the knowledge gathered from different sources. It is in lieu of the forgoing that I perceived Buhari as a man who has a beautiful side of history of course without neglecting the negative side, for history is based on personal disposition. If Jonathan were to be the Buhari of 1983 he would have taken corruption to its peak based on the level of corruption practices mentioned and observed in his democratic style of governance. If Buhari were to be the Jonathan of present corruption would have been nailed, many leaders would have been sent to jail and their property confiscated based on his military style of governance. Nigerians should not also forget that the refineries we have now were products of Buhari. Democratically elected presidents in Nigeria have not built one refinery. Jonathan promised build refinery by removing subsidy from fuel, an action which I so much loved, with hopes that it is a sacrifice for a better Nigeria. But it is disheartening that this government fooled us no refinery was built and most of the promises made were not kept. I ask is this the government Nigerians should be supporting if we have a sense of history and development? This government has performed poorly in the area of security, job creation, price regulation, economic stability, currency stability, foreign policy to mention few. Imagine a Nigeria under Buhari where corruption, the greatest problem confronting us as a people would be challenged with the full weight of law by ensuring its defeat. For anything to be corrected in Nigeria corruption must be tackled! If we can achieve this then every other thing will follow. The search for the man who will fight this for us has been revealed by history. Someone who has the fear of God even when he operated in an environment that has freedom to loot without probe. Why is it that some Nigerians are still saying no, why have they allowed anti- positive change people to use age factor to brainwash them. Why havent they ask these people to give them intellectual and political reasons why he should not be voted for. Knowing fully well that Nelson Mandela one of the best African leaders assumed power at the age of 76. They also gave flimsy excuse that he had contested 3 times without winning one when they knew that Abraham Lincoln failed 8 times before becoming one of the greatest presidents in America. They also said he is a Boko Haram sponsor when no single evidence has been reached to bring their illusion to reality. They said he made a statement that he will make Nigeria ungovernable, I ask what evidence has been shown or activities he is into to bring political instability and to make Nigeria ungovernable. He may have uttered this statement out of electoral vexation. And of course he should be investigated for the statement. But all silent findings of government proved him innocent of the statement, which is why he was one of the national awardees. In a democratically elected government, facts are crucial to any allegation. This is why no one goes to court with an empty hand, but something empirical to substantiate your claim. Great people of Nigeria, havent we seen someone like Asari Dokubu who said something like that and it was glaring to all that he fulfilled his words. This is why a man cannot be judged by his words but by his action. However, this is not to promote inciting statements, but to ensure that statements made are interrogated to ensure that words does not come into manifestation so as to clear the air and to exonerate anyone involved, for we are all humans. No amount of blackmail we prevent us from seeing the brighter person and the wonderful leadership qualities of Buhari Vote Buhari as president......
