NIGHA MUST NOT KNOW HOW BOBBY P GETS DOWN....SMH Kentucky Offensive Coordinator Takes A Jab At Louisville Posted by: Cardinal Connect Staff in Cardinal Football April 25, 2014 1 Comment Joe Robbins | Getty Images Kentucky football fans across the bluegrass state are gearing up for the annual spring game. Coming off back-to-back 2-10 seasons and two consecutive years without a win in conference play, the Big Blue Nation is eager for another year of lackluster football. Pretty cute, right? To be completely honest, I actually like the Kentucky staff. They seem to go about things the right way and they’ve got the fan base very enthusiastic. When it comes to pigskin, Kentucky fans have had very little to be optimistic about in the history of the program. Stoops and his staff have given the fans a lot of hope. In regards to actually coaching football, it’s still too early to determine if Mark Stoops is elite. He went 2-10 in his first season as a head coach and isn’t expected to win many games in his second season. That said, he is an upgrade from the previous regime in regards to the product being put on to the field. I’ll continue to mock Kentucky football for as long as possible, simply because it’s too easy. While I acknowledge the good work being done by Stoops and his staff on the recruiting trail, the program hasn’t done anything yet. They’re still the doormat of the Southeastern Conference. It’s common to see coaches downplay expectations when attempting to build a program. Charlie Strong did it for his first two years on the job. He continuously stressed that his team still has a long way to go. This was following back-to-back bowl game appearances. While Mark Stoops seems to be taking the same approach that Strong did, Kentucky offensive coordinator Neal Brown has chosen to take a different route. Despite not winning a conference game in the last 29 months and not beating in state rival Louisville in the past three seasons, Brown says the Cats are the main attraction. “We talked about this the other day – there’s no NBA team, there’s no major league baseball team. There’s no NFL team. So UK athletics is it,” Brown told the media on Friday. “The other team (Louisville) doesn’t want to hear that, but it’s it. We’re the show in town, in the state.” Before calling yourself “the show in town” I’d try beating a team in your own conference. What’s unfortunate for Neal Brown is that Bobby Petrino is going to hear about these comments and we all know what that means…. REMEMBER YAW DID THIS LMAO
