NIKON 300 mm I have this Nikon 300 mm prime lens F2.8 ....I kissed it today after coming home and looking at my images today and yesterday ....NOTHING will ever replace that lens and sharpness this lens deliver .... Why buy Nikon 80-400 and loose in stops when I almost have that ....that extra 100 mm will compensate if one will use TELECONVERTER ..and more I am not sold on 80-400 .......I am seeing results on my screen .... SHARP as a RAZOR ....300 mm images .... Just my experience ....every pro will confirm that PRIME LENSES are advantage when it comes to sharpness and specially 2.8 ....disantvantage is you dont have ZOOM and that zoom will cost you ...all one has to do if you cant fit 399 into frame back off ...HA HA HA HA right? I been having this lens since 2003 ....and sure 200-400 would be nice addition cause I cant handle 600 mm ....but I would have to be prepared to live with what zoom lens deliver ....all I am shooting now is 300 mm and love it ... Yesterday I try to use 600 mm and I twisted my thumb ...it is just no longer possible for me ... Anyway love my 300 mm
