NIUE, CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE ELECTED YOUR GOVERNMENT FOR THE NEXT THREE YEARS. This is what freedom and democracy is all about. Its the opportunity to elect a Government of the people, by the people and for the people as Abraham Lincoln articulated in his famous speech at Gettysberg, 19th November 1863. Congratulations to the 6 common roll members: Stan Kalauni, Toke Talagi, Crossley Tatui,Togia Sioneholo, Terry Coe and Joan Viliamu. This is really the sign that Niue is happy with how the country is governed, the same people were elected again. A special congratulations to those who contested in the village seats and lost, you guys showed guts to put yourself on the line. Thank you for encouraging your village to vote. You made the people in the village think and to act again which in part a process of accountability for everyone involved. I dont believe that the villages who did not engage in the process because of no other nominations is good.
