NKAN BURIKU O NI MON WA LARA...!! I am here on my soft, downy bed, well tucked-in...preparatory to going to sleepy-land. Only sleep is always hard to come by, these days. I snatched at it futilely, but its always elusive! You see, I sleep in a downstair bedroom. In a bedroom with no burglary-proof on its big windows...in a house with no fence!! So, I am always tensed up and reliving some bad moments in the near past. A past where a tiny scratch on the window sill at night could mean a lot. A lot that could mean a life and properties. So here I am, keeping an imaginative but useless vigil, gazing outta the window unto a clear, balmy night. Past the thick hedge, past the green lawn and unto the lighted neighbours yard. Counting and identifying all the night sounds and distand formless shadows......reassuring myself that such a thing doesnt happen here. When will I stop all these?? When will old habits die in me?
