NKT® Level 1 completed in Calgary at Mission Fitness, with an enthusiastic group ready to apply their new skills into their practice. Learning that neurology trumps everything is truly a game changer. Here are some highlights from Day 2: 1. The Single Leg Stance assessment again proved to be a mind blower. Even the most fit people realized they were leaning one way or another. How can you leave this out? All the good work on the table is for nought if someone cant take a balanced step. 2. The pec minor rules scapular stability. Always good to evaluate it in any shoulder condition. 3. Had a student with carpal tunnel, whose finger extensors had never been evaluated. They were completely inhibited. That leaves some nasty inflamed finger flexor tendons. 4. The neck extensors can become facilitated for local problems such as inhibited flexors, or global issues such as low back instability.
