NMR - Warning ++ Warning ++ Warning ++ Warning Heads up everyone.... YOU MUST READ THIS I have been contacted by PC Sanderson of the Northumbrian Traffic Division which covers North Berwick to Durham.area, who very kindly given us a heads up. The following is a result of constant residents pressure to stop people speeding in and out of the Zetlands so they have to act on this they have no choice. A couple weeks back you would have noticed a police presence which included hand held speed cameras. The majority of folks that observed the Police that night were abiding by the highway code with regards to their speed, however once past the speed cameras some folks were then observed by two unmarked police cars exceeding the speed limits. This is shot across the bows so head the warning as these checks will continue. The NMR code of conduct (we only have one) is to kill your speed coming in and out of the Zetland. Abuse it we lose it! Those that do speed and dont respect the Zetland dead zone tend to be the non members of NMR so thanks guys for respecting the zone. I have made that perfectly clear to PC Sanderson that our members generally dont abuse the dead zone but unfortunately we are unable to deliver the same message to non members as we have no way of communicating with them except word of mouth....so please get the message out there where you can.
