It would not hurt to get one and read but make sure it is a good one that will shed light on you and not lead you into darkness. 4. Self- Deception: When you set a goal, you need to make a plan on how to achieve it. Some people think that planning is an act of faithlessness. That is self-deception. When you plan, it does not mean you are taking your life out of God’s hands. Some people just want to sit down on the couch and expect God to perform magic. Life does not work that way. You need to do your part and commit it into God’s hands. You have your part to play and God has His own part to play. The mistake people make is leaving God out of the equation or leaving themselves out of the equation. God wants to use you, which means that you must make yourself available. When you plan, bring God into it and He will direct your steps.
