NO BREAK Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, - TopicsExpress

NO BREAK Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Faith cannot take a day off for faith is the only source through which we take in and give out the life of Christ. A break in prayer is a break in faith and a break in faith is a break with God. Definitely, without faith, it is impossible to please God, (Hebrews 11:6). God does not keep company with unbelief and anything that does not come from faith is sin. But why is a break in prayer a break in faith? Prayer is not right if it does not come from faith. Therefore, a break in prayer shows that our faith has been affected for prayer is to the spiritual man what breathing is to the natural man, (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). So, if you can stop breathing and live, then you can stop praying and be a Christian! The implication of this is that to live without prayer is the quickest way of throwing your own soul away. The devil loses no time in plotting against you so you too should lose no time in committing yourself and your ways to God through prayer. God promises that when we commit our work and our rays to God through prayer to strengthen us by His Spirit and to bear us in the arms of His power as a Father carries His child. PRAYER: Lord, Jesus Christ, may Your Holy Spirit who dwells in our hearts be the voice of our prayer. May He guide us in our colloquy with You to discover the riches of Your love. Amen. Thank you Lord.
