NO CASE President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, may just have an answer as to why the ICC is targeting them and other african leaders but not George Bush or even Vladimir Puttni. Former ICC Prosecutor Loius Moreno Ocampo revealed everything about why the ICC was established in the first place and as a result confirming Africans’ worst fears. Ocampo further revealed that the ICC was set up to target African leaders and poor countries of Africa who have no judicial capacity to charge their leaders for crimes against humanity and the military might to stop crimes against humanity. The US, Rusia and China do not need the ICC to dictate to them because they have good legal frameworks to try their leaders. Besides, they have a strong army to take on those who try to cause chaos and killings in their countries. “The ICC was set up to protect poor people and to target poor nations of Africa and their leaders like Uhuru and Ruto. Developed countries like US, China and Rusia have good justice systems and military capability to take on anything and therefore do need the ICC,” said Ocampo. Ocampo’s assertions confirm what African Presidents have been saying that ICC was only meant to target Africans.
