NO ENVY, BUT IN TWO SITUATIONS. As part of Islam teachings and the sunnah of the RASULULLAH (saww), We are advised by many verses in the Holy Quran as well as the narrations of the RASUL to shun away from being envious and jealous towards others. When you look at some admonishes from the Holy Quran ENVY is part of many heart evil diseases ALLAH asks us to run away from. In surat Al-Hissaa Allah says: أَمۡ يَحۡسُدُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ عَلَىٰ مَآ ءَاتَٮٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ‌ۖ Or are they envious and jealous of people for what ALLAH has blessed the with? (3:54) (indeed, a rhetoric question meaning do not do that). And in the 2nd but last chapter in the holy Quran Allah asked us to seek refuge in him against the envious and their bad intentions. My Noble Book says: وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ And from the evil of the envier when he envies. (113:5) But as you know the Holy Quran and for that matter the great prophet Mohammed always want the best for us, provided it will get us closed to Allah or closed to the Paradise. Prophet Mohammed(saw) has exempted 2 situations, when you envy the doer that will even earn you some rewards and Allah may give you an equal graces or even more. Thats when you envy a person and wish if you could also have what he or she has to also help others. But no to envy them because they are better than you. My beloved RASULULLAH(saww) advises you and I that, the only situations we can even each other are the following. The Prophet said: Do not envy each other but only in two situations 1. (رَجُلٌ أَتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْكِتَابَ فَهُوَ يَقُومُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ ) A person whom ALLAH has blessed with the knowledge of the Holy Quran and he strives with it to teach others and also uses his knowledge to worship ALLAH in diverse ways, midnights and in day times. 2.(وَرَجُلٌ أَتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالا فَهُوَ يَتَصَدَّقُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ ) And the 2nd situation is,a person , ALLAH has blessed with riches and he uses his wealth to help others under the cover night darkness and in a broad day lights( thats he helps others in secrets and in the clear views of others) Indeed 2 spiritual virtues. So let us use the little in us to compete each other in the course of ALLAH. We should not allow the rich people and the scholars take all the rewards from us. Ask to ALLAH to bless you wit these 2 virtues for you to help and teach others. May ALLAH give us many, many riches and knowledge. If you have these 2 things and use them wisely, you will be loved by ALLAH and by people. Oh ALLAH be with us and not against us.
