NO, I DIDNT WATCH THE MOVIE. THE TRAILER AND THE BACKLASH FROM THE PARENTS WAS ALL I NEEDED TO KNOW. I might have to disagree with a statement that Wendy Williams was pushing forward with her dreams. She didnt care about Aaliyah, her family and fans, she cared more about ratings and money. She failed to LISTEN and pursued this despite the fact the family was totally against it, the music catalog was not available, and she miscast all of the key people in her life. That right there set the stage to tick off more people than she charmed. Wendy makes a living off trashing other people and destroying their lives. This is the one time she could have laid a platform that set her in a different direction. She could have ventured into movies with another medium--she has her own books!!!! And heres the kicker, if someone else had made this movie this way, she would have toasted them to hell and back. But shes brushing off the backlash by focusing on the ratings. It was a premiere! Of course some people watched hoping it wasnt as bad as the trailer and the critics panned it to be. Unfortunately, from the responses, it was and shes not owning up to it. She states that everyone has an opinion about the movie--yes, and so has she when it comes to others. Most of it mean. If she had tried to make a quality picture, then all people could have been ticked about was the music not being there. This is a lesson in how not to let ego overload your ass.
