NO ONE PLANS FOR THEM, thats why they are called ACCIDENTS!! Seatbelts save lives people....and I dont care how uncomfortable you think they are, they are FAR more comfortable than a neck brace or a coffin!! I wish more people would take that seriously.......of the 4 cars involved in an accident this morning I WAS THE ONLY one who was wearing my seatbelt. One woman was taken to the hospital and another individual was bleeding from his head after being bounced around his truck. Both clearly said to the EMT that they were not wearing their seatbelts & one even said this is the 6th accident Ive been in......yes---6 accidents and STILL no seatbelt!! I understand accidents arent planned (this one was technically MY fault, though I certainly didnt plan it) but EVERYTIME you get in that car you NEED to consider that YOU are not in control of someone elses driving....this was NOT his fault, I hit someone else who then hit him & hit him HARD pushing him into the car in front of him too---he is lucky he didnt go through the windshield!! Im POSITIVE he has family, maybe even kids at home that NEED him ALIVE & WELL......I hope the 6th accident will help him (& some others reading this maybe) realize that its MUCH easier to Click a seatbelt on than it is to learn how to talk or walk again after serious injury. My lesson learned----> LEAVE EXTRA ROOM…..don’t assume just b/c you drive down the same street EVERY day on your way to work without incident that someone wont stop short today or ANY day......leave EXTRA room AND ALWAYS---ALWAYS wear a seatbelt. Thanks Goodness my Lincoln seems to be built like a tank & Thanks to whoever was watching over me from above today....Could have been a lot worse. Carry on & BUCKLE UP friends!!
