You are never finished with me; therefore I am never finished growing. You are engaged in a momentous transformation of my life. I know that I have barley begun to become the person You are ready and able to liberate me to be. Your parable of the new patch on an old garment reminds me that new life in You is not tattered, patched, and restyled old self but a completely new character made in Your likeness. When You take up residence in me, a dynamic process begins by which everything is made new. My mind is transformed. Memories are healed and liberated. Values and goals are reoriented. My image of myself is changed. You are satisfied with nothing less than molding me into Your image. Thank You that the miracle of the new creation never stops. You want more than a patch on an old garment. Any false security of the familiar must be replaced with the garment of trusting You completely with the complexities and uncertainties confronting me today. Lord, make me a new person for the day........Amen
