NO SHOWS ON OVERSIGHT BOARD Public Pension Oversight Board members Michael Bowling and Sen. Gerald Neal are frequent no-shows for meetings. The board held its first meeting in December 2013 and has met nine times since. According to meeting minutes, Bowling has attended two meetings – most recently in August, and Sen. Neal three times, most recently in May. We recall that another, original member of the board was replaced after failing to appear for any meetings in the first half of this year. Bowling and Neal may have perfectly valid reasons for not being able to fulfill their duties. Perhaps one or both of them should resign and make way for someone else. We’re pleased to note that other board members have excellent attendance records.
