Two new commanders enter the conflict with great hopes: Imperial Admiral Reinhard von Lohengramm and the FPAs Yang Wen-Li. As they deal with superiors and subordinates, maneuver through complicated political arrangements, plot strategies, and win battles, each will be tested, and ultimately, changed, by the reality of war. Plot:The story is staged in the distant future within our own Milky Way Galaxy, approximately in the late 36th century. A portion of the galaxy is filled with terraformed worlds inhabited by interstellar traveling human beings. For 150 years two mighty space powers have intermittently warred with each other: the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance. Within the Galactic Empire, based on mid 19th century Prussia, an ambitious military genius, Reinhard von Müsel, is rising to power. He is driven by the desire to free his sister Annerose, who was taken by the Kaiser as a concubine. Later, he wants not only to end the corrupt Goldenbaum dynasty but also to defeat the Free Planets Alliance and to unify the whole galaxy under his rule. In the Free Planets Alliance Star Fleet is another genius, Yang Wen Li. He originally aspired to become a historian through a military academy, and joined the tactical division only out of need for tuition money. He was rapidly promoted to an admiral because he demonstrated excellence in military strategy in a number of decisive battles and conflicts. He becomes the archrival of Reinhard, though they highly respect one another. Unlike Reinhard he is better known for his underdog victories and accomplishments in overcoming seemingly impossible odds and mitigating casualties and damages due to military operations. As a historian, Yang often predicts the motives behind his enemies and narrates the rich history of his world and comments on it. One of his famous quotes is: There are few wars between good and evil; most are between one good and another good. Besides the two main heroes, the story is full of vivid characters and intricate politics. All types of characters, from high nobility, admirals and politicians, to common soldiers and farmers, are interwoven into the story. The story frequently switches away from the main heroes to the Unknown Soldier fighting for his life on the battlefield. There is a third neutral power nominally attached to the Galactic Empire called the Phezzan Dominion, a planet-state (city-state on a galactic scale) which trades with both warring powers. There is also a Terraism cult, which claims that humans should go back to Earth, gaining popularity throughout the galaxy. Throughout the story executive political figures of Phezzan in concert with the upper-hierarchy of the Terraism cult orchestrate a number of conspiracies to shift the tide of the galactic war so that it may favor their objectives. Itsts also one of the best pieces of media ive experienced so far.The stories of every charecter,plot development,pregression everything was done so beautifully.Its probably the only Anime i have ever seen which makes it hard for u side with one particular force.Charecters in both the Free planets alliance and also the Galactic Empire are so awesome that u cant side with one force.This is a clash of Ideals,clash of Morals.The main villains in this anime are mainly forces who are not associated with either the empire or the alliance.They work in the shadows to overthrow both the forces and gain total control of the universe.U thought u think know what dirty politics is,u think know what conspiracy is.wait till u see this Anime.This Anime also points out the errors in both the democratic system and also the Autocratic system it goes to show that no matter what the political system of a country is it cant determine a perfect ruler.Another thing which caught my attention were the motives of some politicians from the Free Planets alliance.How they abuse peoples morals just to stay in power.Sacrificing countless soldiers for their benefits whereas they stay safe in thesidelines.There peoples are devils wearing the flesh of Human beings which we call leaders of political parties in our soceity.A statement by a disgusting Human being Isnt my existance a fault of democracy.I only live to gain power in order to do that if i need embrace autocracy i will change my Ideology overnight...Plain Disgusting.I saw the Image of our BD Politicans in that mans eyes.We may have watched many futristic Sci-fi Anime/Movies in the past but i can gurantee u that u have never watched anything like this Anime.the events of this Anime are about 1500 years in the future when human beings have developed technologies to travel to the furtherest corners of the galaxy.Unlike some Sci-Fi Anime/Movies they dont show any Giant robots,Aliens or anything of that sort in this Anime.Human beings are now living in other planets and the earth became a planet only to be read in History books and a Holy place for people who worships the Earth as its the place of Human Origin.It becomes a place of Pligramage for these people and they are controled by what we call Dhormo babsai.They are fanatcis who are engaed in Terrorists Activities around the universe.This Anime has everything u name it action,romance,psycology,Thriller,drama everything.If u enjoyed L vs Light.Wait until u see Reinhard Vs Wenlis Battle of Mindgames and War tacticts.The Man called Miracle Yang of the Alliance VS The Genius Golden Lion of the Empire.Its the fight between Ideals,The Fight between Morals,The fight for peace,freedom and unification of the galaxy.
