NOAH..... I love Big Cultural Events ....... You start with the fact that it is the Bible story that pushes the most buttons, because it is THE most far-fetched and implausible tale to defend if you are a biblical literalist. But the BIG critics of this film have come from the Right. They dont like the fact that God is referred to as The Creator . They have a problem with the fact that Noah loves animals ( Well, I would HOPE that he does if he is going to live with hundreds of them on a boat) Obviously I have not seen it yet, but I heard that there is even an implication that Noah is a vegan. The detractors cant stand the fact that Noah, or even Russell Crowe, might be a sensitive New Age Guy. But they dont have a problem with the fact that he was prepared to kill nearly his whole family. AND, the MUSLIMS have an issue with the film because it portrays a prophet I will probably go to see it. Partly because I am a mythology fan. But also, because it will be a great thrill ride. ( And I have a IMAX across the street and dont have to drive...... I will have an edible ready :)
