NOAH: Save your money.... Just saw Noah.... So, I have no problem with calling God, The Creator. Ones a name, the other is an identity..same, same... And...I get that there is always going to be some licence in telling any story. So, sure, the cenemagraphic cool effects were fine too. Aaaaaaaand, there are a few tweaks to the actual text...Like the boys dont really all have wives (spolier alert)..Shems lover bears twin daughters ON the ark... theres a stow away king....the animals get tranquilized... the usual Hollywood Latitudes... No, my real problem with this remake of a remake of an adoptation from a book, is in how it presents the nature of God... In the mental discussions Noah has with God, er, The Creator, God ends up being a capricious, sadistic and less than decisive silent partner in Noahs near sciziod episodes and decent into a very loose relationship with reality. Slowly, but surely, Noah decides to turn the ark into a murder suicide mission to ensure all human extinction...one family member at a time. OK, enough of the Siskel and Erbert... Bottom line...Hollywood does not really understand Gods nature, and gets two thumbs up proving it!
