A volunteer writes: Goya is a very pretty and delicate female that probably reminded the person who named her of a famous painter and his work. Indeed Goya looks like she was sculpted and painted by an artist. Although much too thin, she wears a coat as white as milk. A chocolate headpiece adorns her face. Her eyes are light in color and limpid as crystal. I thought at first that she was a puppy as she is so tiny at 27 pounds...Goya is four and was found as a stray. She is stressed and a little scared. She needs comfort, gentle handling and lots of walks and human contact. This sensitive soul does not mind to be petted all over, to be picked up in the arms and rested on my lap. She just does not yet have the initiative to make the first step. I have to be patient. Goya does pose for the photo session and sits and stays on command. She was taught once upon a time. She eliminates outside her kennel. I am looking forward to meet Goya again and see her progresses. Goya is at the Manhattan Care Center. No doubt about it, she will need you soon. Goya is her name...Ask to meet her.
