NORDSTROM will not take down marine wildlife holding tanks in 83 stores. NORDSTROM instead wants to “go captive-raised only.” MOST NOTABLE is the aquarium trade assurance to NORDSTROM of MAC accreditation on all reef wildlife abduction—but the Marine Aquarium Council died years ago, its last director citing mortality, morbidity and habitat destruction in an aquarium trade focus only on money. Nordstrom seeks to maintain its “gorgeous-colors” display in 83 Children’s Departments across the U.S., teaching children that wildlife containment for amusement is a good thing. PLEASE SHARE PLEASE EMAIL: blake.nordstrom@nordstrom, todd.buntin@nordstrom, [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] Encourage Nordstrom to teach children that captive marine wildlife is a dark pursuit and not part of the future. TAKE DOWN THOSE AQUARIUMS! A pink anemonefish is easy to catch and breed, but aquarium hobbyists soon demand wild-caught fish; their agitation and constant movement is “so entertaining.” They die soon. Not to worry; another pink anemonefish is available for abduction from a reef far away.
