PICTURE: WORLD Distribution of Multiple Sclerosis The development of Multiple Sclerosis happens to exist in the latitudes where Lyme Disease and other Tick borne diseases may also be most prevalent. But other infections may also be suspect. I was misdiagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis but really had Lyme Disease and Babesiosis. Both my mother and brother developed Gillian Barre Syndrome related to Influenza or viral infections. And, these autoimmune disorders are more associated with those whose heritage is Scandinavian and or Northern European. …………..
