NOT AGAIN SERPENT Emmanuel Junior Zakka He loved me without compare He redeemed me with His own life He bought me at a price My response was to rebel and wander away Of all that He created Creatures living and non-living Only I did He create by some work of art - what a show of love! My response was to show disdain and wander away A tree of good and ill He commanded I must not eat or eat and die Then the serpent came as friend And I trusted it more than I did my God To preserve my life He who loved me first gave to me commands To keep and live otherwise I die My response was to disobey and wander far away How could my Lover HATE me - the object of His affection! How could my life giver take my life How possibly could He who wants my good devise my fall! But I chose to lean on the serpentine deceit and wander away With the accuser of the sons of God Love is twisted and misconstrued Divine Love is presented as jealousy Good intent is painted as ill will I gave in to the dragon and wander away But what love amazing love! My unpardonable crime notwithstanding He sent for my sake His Son - His only Son And He came and died for me And now my paradise is restored - what love what amazing love! *S*H*A*L*O*M* #JESUS-or-NOTHING#
