NOT VERY HAPPY! Today I was expecting a package from UPS. Well I was laying down because I needed a rest.. and the UPS guy left the package by the mailboxes out front in the common hallway. Well after getting up and going to check my mail only the regular mail was there. Checked on the tracking and it read that it was delivered and left at the front door... SO I called UPS to confirm that it was left at the front door... below the mailboxes. SO now I contact the landlord to let him know just in case anyone might have taken it to hold onto until they saw me. As I am doing this on the phone a guy in the back of the apartment is throwing away some trash in the cans... AND a brown box... Immediately I go out the back to stop and ask him where that box came from... SURE enough it was FOR ME NOT HIM! I had asked where the item was that was in that box and he immediately started to give me grief and pushed me out of the way and headed back up stairs... Well I followed but he slammed his door before I could talk to him. Long story short, I contacted the police about it, told them I caught him with the box in hand but no item in the box... So after two hours they finally arrive and take my statement, I show them the box he was throwing out and they went upstairs to talk to him... HE claimed that no one owned it so he took it and since the item inside didnt seem important he threw it out as well.....!!! WELL the police did NOTHING! As they claimed, no evidence that he really did take it except for him admitting it and since there was no item to recover it was my LOSS... Well lets just say I confronted him as he came down stairs to leave... AND IT WASNT PLEASANT. So now I am asking that the landlord do something with my neighbor who lives above me because if he steals another thing from me there will more than just words given.
