NOTHING TOO SMALL FOR PDF - PRAY DAY FRIDAY “’Mom, the doctors told us the baby will probably die.’ These were not words I wanted to hear about my sons UNBORN BABY two weeks before she was expected to be born. My daughter-in-laws ultrasound showed that the baby had kidney disease. The prognosis was that baby would NOT LIVE LONG and she would experience a great deal of pain. I promised I would PRAY and engage a prayer chain so others would pray as well. When I cried out to God, begging Him to heal this unborn child, my granddaughter, I needed to build my faith and so I looked for evidence in the Bible to strengthen it. I found an amazing story in Luke, 8:40-56, about a little girl who had died. Jesus said, ‘Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.’ When He arrived at the house, Jesus went to the little girls bedside, took her by the hand and said, “Little girl, arise,” and she did.’ Well, that was enough for me! If God would bring children who had died back to life, kidney disease should be a piece of cake for Him. Along with others I prayed until my daughter-in-law returned from her ultrasound. NO INDICATION of kidney disease was found! More TEARS came, but this time for joy! Did God heal my granddaughter? I believe He did. She was born about a week later. They named her Norah Grace. She is now a beautiful twelve year old. There are people that will point out all the prayers that seemingly dont get answered for others in equally distressing circumstances. I can point them out as well. But, when confronted with the impossible I will continue to pray, do my best to put fear behind me, and BELIEVE that with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).” Jeani Stevens •••• Today is Pray Day Friday.
