NOTICE NO. 2/2014 VACANCIES BLUE CRANE ROUTE MUNICIPALITY INVITES SUITABLE, QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES TO APPLY FOR THE FOLLOWING VACANCIES TECHNICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT 1. 1X TECHNICIAN: PROJECT MANAGENT UNIT (PMU TECHNICIAN) 3 YEARS FIXED TERM CONTRACT The Municipality is looking for a committed and suitably qualified person to fill in the above mentioned position. The successful candidate will report to the PMU Manager. Key Responsibilities: Project-manage the labour-intensive project in line with the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) framework and the related reporting requirements. Arrange regular progress meetings Conduct site visits and meetings to ensure compliance to the project plan conditions and objectives Maintain project performance data on the national database Assists with other related municipal infrastructure programmes Monitor the consolidated cash flow performance of each project Verify payment certificates and prepare monthly claims and expenditure Collate data for the preparation of all necessary report to municipal and relevant provincial and national departments Compilation of monthly, quarterly ,bi-annual report to the PMU Manager Compile financial and non-financial reports (DORA) Requirements: National Diploma in Civil Engineering A valid driver`s license is compulsory 3 year experience in the Municipal PMU Understanding and knowledge of Local Government Salary: R250 000.00 per annum (All Inclusive Package) 2. 1x EPWP DATA CAPTURER (3 YEARS FIXED TERM CONTRACT) Key Responsibilities: Ensures compliance with EPWP regulations and projects Ensuring the sustainability of EPWP programmes Putting the Batho Pele principles into practice Consolidate post impact assessment report Register projects, consolidate EPWP reports and capture on IRS System Collate compliant EPWP reporting information Assist with other municipal work Compilation of monthly, quarterly, bi-annual reports to the PMU Manager Regular liaison with the District office (EPWP).
