LESOTHO ELECTRICITY COMPANY (PTY) LTD POSTPONEMENT OF SUBMISSION DATE FOR ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS’ APPLICATION FORMS Interested Applicants are notified that the closing date for submission of application forms has been postponed to 27th February 2014 at 12:00 noon. Completed forms must be delivered to the Procurement Office, LEC Head Quarters on or before the date and time specified above. Lesotho Electricity Company (PTY) Ltd invites Electrical Contractors to apply for registration for 2014/15 to 2016/17 financial years. It is hereby notified for general information that LEC shall ONLY award jobs to Contractors that appear in the list approved by LEC Management. The following conditions must be taken into account: 1. LEC will inspect Contractors’ personnel during implementation of jobs. Qualified staff members included/shown in the application forms must be seen on site during the works implementation and if such personnel are not found, the Contractor shall be automatically disqualified. If the personnel in the application form are no longer employed by the Contractor, LEC expects to be notified, in writing, of employment of another person with equivalent or higher qualifications and experience. 2. In the case of other business entities other than sole proprietor, a resolution of Board of Directors must be written to LEC specifying appointment/nomination of an electricity carter qualified personnel to implement LEC works. LEC recognizes a qualified electrical person as one who has gone for at least two years formal training in electrical field. Those who have already submitted their application forms are at liberty to collect them if they would like to make changes. Application forms are available from Procurement Office (Near Main Store) and all LEC offices throughout the Country.
