NOTICE: Tax Practice Certificates The General Public is hereby advised that when seeking the Services of a Professional such as a Doctor, Lawyer, Accountant, Engineer, Pharmacist, etc. who is engaged in private practice for reward, they should ensure that the Professional is the holder of a valid Tax Practice Certificate. The Tax Practice Certificate MUST be conspicuously displayed in the Professional’s place of business. Professionals are reminded that: 1. Under Subsection 9 (a) of Section 39, Professionals can be prosecuted for practicing without the required Tax Practice Certificate. 2. By virtue of Subsection 9 (b) of Section 39, Professionals are required to display their Tax Practice Certificates in a very conspicuous manner at their place of practice. NOTE: TAX PRACTICE CERTIFICATES ARE VALID FOR ONE CALENDAR YEAR (JANUARY – DECEMBER). THE ANNUAL FEE FOR JANUARY 1 OF EVERY YEAR IS PAYABLE ON OR BEFORE FEBRUARY 28 OF THE SAME YEAR.
