Wendy comes to MBC by transfer of letter from First Baptist Church where she was baptized. We know that Wendy will be an asset to Memorial with her faithfulness and willingness to contribute her talents and gifts and we ask God to bless her. We will encourage Wendy as she continues her Christian Journey, seeking always to do God’s will and be her best. Welcome, Wendy. * * NEWS FROM THE PEWS * * Olive Loper is blessed that there is NO SNOW on her porch or in the driveway; Sue Eldon is always blessed to worship at MBC with friends and family; thanked the congregation for prayers for her larger family and reported that the puppies are now moving on to ‘puppy food’; Mary Hurst received a Christmas card from friends in Carneys Point which prompted her to call them and have a very long conversation; these friends had helped Mary come to know the Lord and she was blessed by the card and telephone visit; Pastor Lois remarked on the beauty of the white snow geese on the drab, brown earth at Myerwood Farm and even stopped for a photo shoot; Marion Patrick followed that remark with the beauty of snow geese on the grounds at the Emel Farm; PRAYER REQUESTS Rick Johnson asked for prayers for his daughter, Tammy Stell, on Wednesday; Pastor Lois asked for prayers for out-patient surgery on Wednesday. * * BIBLE STUDY UPDATE * * Can you believe that we had THREE NEARLY PERFECT MEN at Bible Study last Tuesday? It’s the truth! As usual, Hazel Davis and Pastor Lois were in attendance as well, but the men just outdid us! PAY ATTENTION! Our March 4th meeting will be at THE OAK DINER! Bring $2 and come at 9:30 a.m. for fellowship and Bible study. You could get accustomed to this group AND increase your knowledge of the Holy Scriptures at the same time. Yes!
