NOTICES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS Week of October 19, 2014 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Bring your full WORLD MISSION BANKS for collection. Today we will offer our WORLD MISSION BANKS in the Offering Plates, dedicating the monies received to missionaries, lay leaders in Mission Areas and men and women who work in areas where the Good News of Jesus is preached. We have been generous in our giving so that the work continues throughout the year. Thank you HONORING HAZEL DAVIS Come prepared on Sunday, October 26th for another CELEBRATION. This time we will honor our long-serving Choir Director, Miss Hazel Ann Davis. Hazel has directed our choir for over fifty years and done a wonderful job of directing our singers as they offered their gifts and talents in worship services. Though our choir is small in comparison to other choirs in Salem, they are faithful and true, offering their talents and making sure that the biblical act of “singing in praise to God” has been part of Memorial Baptist Church. * * THANK YOU, HAZEL * * Church World Service Blankets Plus You have walked by, touched and felt the two blanket weights which Church World Service Plus (CWS+) offers in their mission outreach program. NOW WRITE A CHECK AND PUT IT IN THE OFFERING PLATE! The cost of EACH BLANKET is $10.00. The Deacons have pledged to match the giving of the congregation up to the amount of $100.00. If $100.00 is received for BLANKETS, the Deacons will match that amount and $200.00 will be sent to Church World Service for the Blanket Offering. Cards and envelopes are provided for you to give a BLANKET “In Honor of Someone”. Place your “giving” in an envelope marked “BLANKETS” and put it in the offering plate provided or give to any Deacon or the Pastor. * * NEWS FROM THE PEWS * * October 12, 2014 Sue Dolbow informed us that Rev.
