NOW CC GIVES RUNAWAY SPYL LEADERSHIP ULTIMATUM I say, comrades, the SWAPO Party Central Committee over the weekend resolved to give rebellious SPYL leadership until this coming Friday to ‘pronounce themselves’ or else face unspecified consequences. Members of SPYL national executive committee are being accused of inter alia unbecoming conduct and being disrespectful towards especially Cdes Pohamba and Geingob. Shortly before and after the 5th Congress of SWAPO Party which ended in the re-election of Pohamba and Geingob as president and vice-president, respectively---followed by what I myself have called systematic purge or cleansing of Omusati Clique activists from the Politburo and Secretariat---SPYL and pro-Ekandjo activists, have been waging a war of attrition characterized by sustained brutal and unscrupulous verbal attacks on the persons of Pohamba and Geingob. The attacks were made through scathing statements in both regular and social media. It is like the tail wagging the dog! I suspect that these people are not acting alone. They must have an invisible hand out there who is backing them in their attacks on Pohamba and Geingob. The allegations against the concerned SPYL leaders are reminiscent of the vicious and discourteous attacks which former ANC Youth President, Julius Malema, had launched on the persona of SA and ANC President Jacob Zuma prior to Malema’s ejectment from ANC membership. Malema is now reported to considering launching his own political party. Can Cde Ngurare and his lieutenants survive as leaders of SPYL? Let us wait and see.
