●/ NPA spokesman, nanlaban kaya napatay sa Sorsogon /▌ encounter - AFP / Written by Jun Mendoza Published in Latest News Sunday, 07 July 2013 13:40 Iginiit ngayon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na nanlaban sa engkuwentro noong nakaraang linggo ang grupo ni Greg Bañares, ang tinuturong tagapagsalita ng Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) sa Bicol region. Ginawa ni AFP-Public Affairs Office chief Lt/Col. Ramon Zagala ang pahayag matapos sabihin ng komunistang grupo na pinaslang umano si Bañares at dalawa nitong kasamahan matapos sumuko sa mga otoridad. Pero ayon kay Zagala, armado ang grupo ni Bañares at sa katunayan tumagal ng 35 minuto ang nangyaring engkuwentro sa Sorsogon noong Huwebes. "They were all armed and they fought back. There was a 35 minute exchange of fire," giit ng military official. Sinabi pa ni Zagala nasa katunayan ay mas gugustuhin nilang mahuling buhay si Bañares. "He was influential in their propaganda. He was a key in their recruitment of those with legitimate problems into the war of the CPP against the government." Una rito, sa nakuhang mensahe ng Bombo Radyo Naga, kinumpirma ng nagpakilalang Celson Minguez Command na kabilang nga si Bañares sa mga nasawi sa engkuentro. Nagbanta pa ang CPP-NPA nang mas maigting na pag-atake kasunod nang pagkamatay ng kanilang mga kasamahan. "The CPP and all revolutionary forces vow to exact justice and punish the perpetrators of this massacre.
