NPR reports: A zettabyte = 250 billion DVDs worth of personal phone calls that the NSA stores to process. More startling, NPR using "DVDs" as a measurement unit. But I wish they would explain it to me using the full gamut of other outmoded technologies. How many floppy disks is that equal to? Or Syquest drives, Jazz disks, Atari game cartridges, C-90 cassette tapes, typewriter ribbons, punch cards, clay tablets, phonograph records, sand drawings and random thumb drives I find around the office?
