NSA primarily investigated outside of the USA until 9/11. The - TopicsExpress

NSA primarily investigated outside of the USA until 9/11. The collection of data in the USA is primarily a technical service provided for the FBI. The FBI receives records through the FISA court. The FISA court has 11 judges under the DOJ (oh that is great!) There are two sections used against the USA Citizens under the Patriot Act. The first approved by Congress is Section 215 which can obtain “business records” the definition of such records is “any tangible thing”. Think about this for a moment. They wrote a ruling; tell the American public “we are only interested in business records”. Then they proceed under the definition of any tangible thing. They are required to go before FISA only once per year for this broad use of power. The second section is 702 (PRISM) records are obtained from Verizon, Google, Yahoo, Facebook and others. This section requires individual rulings on a case by case basis. How ironic those corporate America determinations are more restrictive than the individual. Guess which section they use most often? They use Sect 215 of course. ALL NSA data collection programs collect data ex patre (in secret). These are not like your normal investigation where the person(s) are aware of the investigation into their records. The government would not be interested in collecting all of this data if they could not draw information from it. They are spending an extreme amount of money to set up and continue this practice. There is no court decision that has addressed the constitutionality of this issue and the violations against your 4th amendment. Your government has become very skilled at taking action and waiting to see if the judicial system will decide if this is legal or illegal. After all, that gives them a wide over reach and a large amount of time prior to a decision. Human nature tends to lean towards acceptance the longer it takes to decide if actions are appropriate. I have personally seen how the Federal government will spend massive amounts of money to investigate people. You cannot afford to defend yourself from the US government. You see, they spend massive amount of money employee hours, resources (NSA for 1) their resources are unlimited in the world of a normal man. The investigations are not to determine if you are innocent or guilty. It is only a record of how many wins they can obtain. How can they get a conviction or plea deal from this action? When they decide to target you, you have already lost. You WILL be found guilty of something before they finish. And the NSA just made that a guarantee. Are you frightened yet? You should be. Do you think the targeting of the Tea party is insignificant? It is. Until they decide to Target your group of interest, your church, your political ideology. If you are catholic, they already have, They have managed to collect data in secret. There is no authority or power that will act in the best interest of the people, when they seek to investigate their own people in secret. This is an overreach of power and authority you would expect to see in China, Cuba, or third world countries. Gen Alexander says this program has prevented 50 incidents. That is an arguable statement. Many of his “prevention’s” have been no more than noise/chatter. Many of the incidents were discovered and investigated prior to the NSA information. It has stopped one occurrence. But what was the cost? It did not stop Benghazi. It did not stop Fort Hood. It did not stop Boston Marathon. The more we discover about these incidences, the more we realize they were being warned about all three, but chose not to listen.
