NSCDC deploys 15,000 personnel for Ekiti gubernatorial election Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 15,000 officers and men to protect lives and property of Ekiti State residents during next weekend gubernatorial election in the State. Commandant General of the Corps, Dr. Ade Abolurin on Wednesday directed the zonal and state commands of the Corps to adequately deploy those personnel to strategic places such as federal highways for migrating groups, churches and other critical areas. He said the deployment was pertinent base on previous experiences when criminal-minded members of the society capitalized on event of this kind to perpetrate evil. While assuring all registered voters of their safety, Dr. Abolurin enjoined them to go out and exercise their mandate without fear. The Ekiti State gubernatorial election will take place on 21st June, 2014.
