NSCN (K) flays AR action. DIMAPUR, JUNE 25: NSCN (K) Tuesday said the “gruesome killing” of six Naga boys by the 10 Assam Rifles (AR), has “once again unmasked the real face of the paramilitary force”. In a statement NSCN (K) spokesperson, P. Tikhak said “after inviting the NSCN (K) members for a friendly discussion all six of them were packed in their vehicle who were later shot dead”. He said the incident was “purely a cold blooded murder, a treachery of the highest order, a crime, which a civilized society will not allow to go unpunished”. He also asked the government of India as to how such “mentally sick people were allowed to lead an armed force?” He said the entire unit of 10 AR was a party to the crime and urged the government of India to immediately initiate thorough investigation and book the perpetrators under the relevant sections of the IPC. He said the incident “proved that how much an Indian soldier can stoop low for a medal or a little increment in their salary.” Stating that there was “not an iota of truth as claimed by the Assam Rifles…”, Tikhak said the claim was “nothing but the usual practice of the Assam Rifles to fool the people by saying, on the tip of an information they go to a certain place where they face a volley of fire and as usual nothing happens to them but later in the retaliatory action they manage to kill as many number as they wish”. Further, accusing AR of killing “many innocent lives in the South-west Asia, if not thousands but hundreds of tribals in the name of counter Insurgency over the past few years”, Tikhak appealed to all National and International organizations to ban AR, used by the government of India “to suppress and oppress the tribal people”. “The whole of South-West Asia inhabited by different tribal people of Mongoloid origin has become a ground for practical classes of the Indian armed forces where they are free to gun anybody they wish to,” Tikhak said. “This barbarism of the Assam Rifles has testified their least respect for a human life and the low standard of Army ethics and lower moral values”, he asserted. Meanwhile, Tikhak said the NSCN (K) salutes all the departed souls for their selfless sacrifice and prayed to God to give peace to every soul and grant strength to the bereaved family.
