NSF celebrates birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh Posted on September 28, 2013 by Dailyexcelsior Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Sept 27: National Secular Forum (NSF), Jammu University unit, today organized a programme in the University campus to celebrate the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh who laid his life for the country. Amid slogans of ‘Inqulaab Zindabad’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, they paid tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh by garlanding the portrait of the son of soil. Ankush Abrol, senior leader of NC and working committee member JKCA, was the chief guest while Dr Vikas Sharma was the guest of honour. Sukhdev Singh, president NSF, presided over the function. Speaking on the occasion Ankush Abrol stressed upon the youth to shun their self centred outlook and contribute in the development of the nation. Dr Sharma appealed the youth to come forward to eliminate all evils from the society while Sukhdev Singh recalled the planning capability, boldness and feeling of nationalism in martyr Bhagat Singh and stressed upon the youth to follow his ideas.
